Brayman completed the deep foundation portion of this project, consisting of 115 drilled caissons, in the winter of 2000. The caissons ranged in diameter from 36in to 72in and reached depths of 43ft. Although the jobsite was located in the heart of Pittsburgh’s Shadyside District, Brayman mobilized one truck mounted drill rig, operating concurrently, with two track mounted drill rigs to accelerate the project’s schedule.
