This project was for the construction of a new 450ft curved, four-span, steel girder structure connecting SR28 South to the I-279 South highway. The new construction included the addition of two (2) abutments, founded on 36in diameter caissons, and three (3) piers, founded on various diameter single caissons. The structure was built overtop of I-279 and underneath I-579. Tight vertical and horizontal clearances added to the challenge for girder erection on the project.
