ODOT Awards Contract for Bridge Replacement
Brayman Construction has started construction for the Ironton-Russell bridge replacement over the Ohio River. This exciting project provides a link between Ironton, OH and Russell, KY for the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT).
The project represents Brayman's second major balanced cantilever, concrete bridge and its first to include pile-ons and cable stays. Brayman's CEO, Stephen M. Muck says "our construction and in-house design teams have incorporated many innovative ideas into this project, reducing the overall cost and construction schedule, while maintaining all original design elements."
The $85 million project anticipates completion, on schedule, in 2015. Once the new super structure is complete, demolition will be performed on the existing structure. The Finley Engineering Group, our of Tallahassee, FL is supporting Brayman's efforts for this proejct.
