Prettyboy Dam Project Receives its Third Industry Award

Nearly a year after completion, the Gatehouse Anchorage System for Prettyboy Dam has earned its third professional organization award. American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Maryland Section has selected this project for the 2011 Outstanding Small Project award. ASCE will honor the Baltimore City Department of Public Works, Alvi Associates, Inc., and Brayman at their June 14, Awards Program in Baltimore, MD. This accomplishment is a reflection of our team’s commitment to providing quality craftsmanship and innovative techniques for such a challenging project.

ASCE’s Awards program recognizes the commendable achievements and remarkable accomplishments of the civil engineering profession. This program distinguishes the unique contributions engineers and contractors make to both the industry and society.

Prettyboy Dam previously received the Association of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO) ‘Rehabilitation Project of the Year’ Award and the ACEC/MD Outstanding Project Award.
