The Beginning
Brayman Construction was founded with a staff of two.
1992
Acquisition
Brayman Construction is acquired and incorporated by Steve Muck and kept privately owned.
1996
Brayman expands with deep foundations and geotechnical construction solutions.
2001
Brayman expands with steel erection and fabrication capabilities. (Advantage Steel & Construction).
2004
USACE Charleroi Lock & Dam: Multi-year lock replacement project.
2005
PA SR66 Apollo Bridge
Recognized as PennDOT’s first ever design-build project, the Apollo Bridge included the design and construction of a five-span prestressed concrete I-beam bridge over the Kiskiminetas River in Apollo, PA.
2007
WVDOH I-64 Widening Project, Kanawha River Bridge: First segmental bridge project.
2008
Brayman expands with marine construction and diving capabilities (SUS).
2010
Record Setting I-64 Kanawha River Bridge Opened in WV
This award winning project, located in Charleston, WV, is a cast-in-place cantilever segmental bridge.

Prettyboy Dam Rehabilitation
Brayman installed an underwater anchorage system consisting of underwater drilling, installation and stressing of 38 bar anchors and 12 mid-width holes. This method is described by Dam rehabilitation experts as the first of its type in the world. Read More
2011
Dulles Corridor Metro Phase 1 Silver Line Milestone Project
This project included the installation of 724 drilled caissons to support the elevated guideways and stations for the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project in Fairfax County, VA.

Bluestone Dam, Dam Safety Assurance Phase 2B
Project Dates: 05/31/2005 – 11/04/2011 Installation of 216 high capacity strand anchors. First application of directional drilling for this type of construction.

Brayman expands with precast and specialty rebar capabilities (Brayman Precast).
2012
Ironton-Russell Bridge: First cable-stay bridge project.
2013
Hulton Bridge: PennDOT's first strand jacking bridge project.
2013 - Cont.
Rodney-Staton Bridge: WV Design-Build Pilot Program.
2015
Award-Winning Hulton Bridge Completed in Oakmont, PA
A major milestone for Brayman, the steel erection for the Hulton Bridge was completed when the final 60-foot wide, 283-foot long, 1,200-ton section was strand jacked into position.
2016
Record-Setting and Award-Winning Ironton-Russell River Bridge Opened Connecting KY AND OH
The new structure took approximately four and one half years to build and was opened on November 23, 2016, providing a main route for trucking and transportation in Ohio.

Advanced Construction Robotics founded as the robotics partner for Brayman Construction.

SR 136: PennDOT's first ABC Bridge Project.
2016 - Cont.
PTC Slider: PA Turnpike's first ABC Bridge Project.
2017
Bluestone Dam, Dam Safety Assurance Phase 3
Project Dates: 03/28/2011 – 02/02/2017 Construction of heavy civil concrete elements: penstock stilling basin and baffles with scour pad and exit pad, two training walls, five divider walls.

Accelerated Bridge Construction Project Completed for PA Turnpike Commission
Work began in the Spring of 2017 on the PA Turnpike Commission’s Superstructure Replacement of WB-224B in Beaver County.

BDR 1-17 and BDR 2-17: WVDOH/WVPA first ABC Bridge Projects.
2018
Brayman CEO Receives Award
Stephen Muck, CEO of Brayman Construction Corporation and Co-founder & CEO of TyBot, LLC on receiving Engineering News-Record’s 2017 Top 25 Newsmaker Award at their April 5th ENR luncheon in NYC. This award was in recognition of his outstanding achievement in bringing TyBot™, an autonomous rebar-tying robot, to the construction industry.

Nitro: First Brayman led joint venture project.
2020
Bluestone Dam Phase 5:
Final 9 year long phase of this USACE mega-project. It will capstone a 25 year long project for Brayman.
2022
Kingston Warves:
Brayman-Shoreline Joint Venture. Reconstruction of Berth 7 at Port Bustamante, Kinston, Jamaica.
