Brayman's Apprenticeship Training Program

Affiliated with numerous regional Unions, we provide dedicated training to serve as your entry point to the building and construction trades.
Curriculum
Our program combines practical experience with classroom instruction. Core teachings include Safety, Equipment Maintenance and Inspection, Reading Blueprints, Craftsmanship & Quality Control, Loading and Rigging – knowledge that gives a solid foundation for construction environments.
Participants work in various heavy highway construction support facilities to gain experience in these areas:
- Fabrication & Tooling Shop
- Automotive & Heavy Equipment Mechanic's Shop
- Equipment Operation
- Rebar Tie Shop
- Precast Concrete
- Yard Logistics & Labor
Your journey might conclude with a local Union entry via company sponsorship or a full-time offer at Brayman or one of our Affiliate Companies.

The Brayman Internship and Co-Op Blueprint
The Brayman Internship and Co-Op Blueprint:
- Duration: A comprehensive 14-week summer stint, usually from May to August.
- Location: Opportunities at our corporate headquarters in Saxonburg and select field projects.
- Exposure: A multifaceted immersion across divisions, from heavy civil and foundations to estimating. We also have specialized roles in business operations with a spotlight on finance and accounting. For our engineering candidates, expect an all-encompassing view of construction project management and hands-on field experiences.
- Deliverables: Throughout the program, interns craft two detailed work reports and conclude with a significant presentation, reflecting on their role and journey.
Tasks you'll encounter:
- Coordinating various projects and tasks.
- Crafting comprehensive project reports.
- Cost computation and estimate preparation.
- Analyzing blueprints, proposals, and labor forecasts.
- Upholding our stringent safety standards.
- Undertaking essential laborer duties.
