ALCOSAN Diversion Structure
The Allegheny County Sewer Authority awarded Brayman the emergency procurement contract to repair and replace the A-34 Diversion Structure located along the Allegheny River in the Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA. The project consisted of demolition of the existing structure, replacement of the existing dropshaft to the interceptor line 70’ deep, construction of new foundations and diversion structure, and site restoration/scour protection. Due to the tight access, Brayman utilized our specialty fleet of floating equipment to reach the site and build from the Allegheny River.

Brayman Construction Corporation and Trumbull Corporation, a Joint Venture (BTJV), was contracted to provide design and construction services for the $254 million U.S. 35/I-64 Interchange – Nitro Interchange Design-Build Project. Brayman served as the lead contractor in this Joint Venture.

Plant and Design-Build Contract for Reconstruction of Berth 7

Brayman and Shoreline Foundation, Inc. of Miami, Florida, were contracted by Kingston Wharves Limited to design and reconstruct Berth 7 at the Port of Kingston in Kingston, Jamaica. This project was a Joint Venture in which Brayman was the lead contractor.

Butler Country Club Golf Cart & Pedestrian Bridge

The new memorial bridge replaced an existing pedestrian and golf cart bridge over a small lake on the course and was designed around the existing bridge members. The project site had very limited laydown and work area available, so the Demolition, Steel Erection, and Precast Installation was all marine-based and completed from the lake surrounding the new bridge.

Dan River CCP Low Head Dam Modifications

Brayman Construction was awarded a contract to provide specialized construction services in support of a dam improvement project located on the Dan River near Eden, North Carolina.

Brayman was contracted by the Black & Veatch Corporation to construct a new barge unloading and mooring facility as part of the necessary flue-gas desulfurization (FGD) upgrades at the existing Cardinal Power Station located in Brilliant, OH.
