Multi-Phase Project: Phase

I-70 Fulton Bridge

Brayman was responsible for drilling and installing 16-each 97” diameter drilled shafts with depths to soil that ranged from three to 60 feet and rock sockets that were 90” in diameter to support the reconstructed Fulton Bridge on I-70 in Wheeling, WV. Brayman also installed nearly 700 LF of per-manent steel casing and approximately 1,400 CY of concrete.

The shafts were located at three pier structures.  At the Pier 3 location, the shafts were in the center of Fulton Creek, and the Team had to drill from a small causeway. The location required additional spoils and water management to protect the creek.

Specialty Rebar Supply & Tie, a Division of Brayman affiliate company Brayman Precast, fabricated the cages and the cage rigging.
